Job Description
Our Client a world leader in Transportation Systems, with more than 100 transport customers worldwide, 6,000 people specialised in transportation activities. Providing mission-critical information systems to mainline rail, urban transport and road operators. They have an immediate requirement for a Access & Closures Planner. You will be a key member of the Closures Team responsible for booking and managing access to the railway during Engineering Hours and Closures. Strong performance in this role is fundamental to Thales achieving maximum efficiency from the access granted to us by our Client. Role: You will contribute to assuring the delivery of project by ensuring that all teams have appropriate access to the line and to any employer supplied resources required, contribute to maximising the utilisation resources. Key Tasks Ascertain the critical resource and access requirements for the Project. Submit access bookings as required under the Contract. Resolve any conflict between the programme’s access and critical resource requirements and that of any other party’s requirements. Represent at the Client’s pre-possession planning meetings, and other meetings as appropriate. Produce and manage an Access Plan Build a working relationship with Programme, Project Managers and Functional Managers . Assist in the preparation of Closure Plans. Assist in the reviewing of viability of third party Opportunity Works. Provide other general support to the Closures Project Manager as required Education & Qualifications Good knowledge of LUL Track Access booking arrangements Good knowledge of LUL Operating Rules and practices. Access planning experience in railway environment. Excellent communication skills Good organisational skills Good MS Word and MS Excel skills Be able to prepare communications suitable for sending to a client Should you have all the above then please apply
